After its debut in May of 2022 as a taproom exclusive, the beer is now available at Krogers, Whole Foods, Specs and select Total Wine stores in the North Texas area. This the brewery’s fifth GABF medal after scoring wins in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019.

In the American Amber Lager category, Windmills in The Colony takes home the area’s only gold medal for Sondiero, a Mexican-style amber lager.

Edgewise Eight in Weatherford, Texas was the next award winner, taking bronze in the Robust Porter category for their offering, First of His Name.

Our final GABF 2022 winner is White Rock Ale House. Their IPO IPA took silver in the 2nd largest category of the competition, Juicy or Hazy India Pale Ale. It’s the brewery’s second GABF prize after winning silver in the 2020 competition for their German Marzen Lager, White Rocktoberfest.
