Baaamaste! We use babies and full size adults for the goat yoga classes. They are a special miniature breed (as pictured) and are not too heavy. At full size, they weigh half of the weight (40-60lbs) of a normal sized goat (100-120lbs.). Babies weigh 15-30lbs.
Class begins promptly. It’s like a combo laughter and goat yoga gentle flow suitable for yogis of all levels, including beginners. Bring your own mat or beach towel, clothes you don’t mind getting hoofed up, and a sense of humor! *Please do not bring cups with straws or anything you don’t want the goats to chew.*

We also now have t-shirts!

Everyone must sign waiver.

When you set up your mat on the floor, the goats will come up to you. They prefer their human friends to be seated (especially children) and are more likely to be social with you before the class if you are seated and calm. Since they are prey animals, they do not enjoy being chased. Being herd animals, they sometimes spook and run away especially when children try to chase and pet them. So we like to encourage people to sit down as soon as possible after registering. They may even try to jump on your shoulders before we even start the class!

You will also want to make sure your phone is face down during class so the goats won’t break your screen when they walk on your phone. The goats don’t normally poop or pee on their yogi pals. If they do go on your mat, it’s good luck (and we’ll clean it up.)

The goats sometimes burp and cough, with the occasional spitting sound (also sounds like a sneeze), and this is all part of their digestion process. It comes along with having 4 stomachs! They also like to head butt each other, but it’s all in good goat fun. Just part of their dynamic. They do not have an “alpha,” but they do have “Abuela,” their great, great grandmother. Brie, our Abuela, doesn’t travel with us anymore since she is so old with cataracts.

Some have horns, some do not. Horns help them regulate their body heat and have no determination on their gender. We have girls with horns, and boys without. Our goats are a nigerian dwarf pygmy cross breed. They are very gentle and social! Yes, we have some for sale right now.

Please prepare to arrive no more than 15 minutes early to sign the waiver.

Feel free to tag us in all your pics so we can share!
