Seven North Texas breweries take medals home from the 2025 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition, which is three more than 2024. Three breweries – False Idol Brewing, Flix Brewhouse – Mansfield, and Union Bear Brewing – are taking home their first-ever GABF wins.

False Idol Brewing (pictured) and Maple Branch Craft Brewery were both double winners at this year’s competition. False Idol won bronze from their saison, Groovy, in the Field Beer category, and silver for their stout, Fluff Said, in the Dessert or Pastry Stout category. Maple Branch won silver for the beers, War of the Roses (English Brown Ale category) and Romanov’s Revenge (Imperial Stout category).

903 Brewers won silver in the Scotch Ale category for Kilt Switch. Bankhead Brewing takes home a silver medal in the Old Ale or Strong Ale or Barley Wine category for their beer, Assume But Verify. Flix Brewhouse – Mansfield gets their first GABF win with a bronze medal in the Bock category for The Last Bockbuster. Peticolas Brewing Company’s (pictured) Room for More wins a bronze medal in the Begian-Style Dubbel category.
Lastly, in the International Light Lager category, Union Bear Brewing wins their first GABF medal – a gold prize for their Mexican Lager.
