What’s Brewing for Small Business Saturday 2023

Those of us who enjoy craft beer in and around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area understand how important it is to support our local breweries. So Small Business Saturday is a way to support local and the statewide work of the Texas Craft Brewers Guild at the same time.

For the last four years, the Guild has worked with artists to produce limited edition glassware for purchase. This year’s glass is designed by Gabriel Marquez of Mystic Desert Studio in El Paso, Texas. By purchasing this glass at participating breweries on November 25, $1 of every glass supports the association of craft brewers advancing the industry through advocacy and education.

Here’s more about the glass from the Texas Craft Brewers Guild website:

“The elements of the design all came from an original set of paintings created by Gabriel Marquez, and are composed to tell a story inspired by dreams and native wildlife in the Chihuahuan desert.

An owl blends into a diurnal daze, as the Texas sun rises every waking minute. A rabbit observes from a guarded distance as two true-love hummingbirds flutter over the sacred Texas Craft Brewers Guild Logo from which the hops, wheat and all things grow. The depth of color in all the distinctive beers define the final aesthetic of the artwork on this glass. The background is poured and filled, creating a dramatic finish with every fill of the delicious crisp craft beers of Texas.”
