Do you wince when you see someone drown brisket in barbecue sauce? Have you ever built a back patio based on how many square feet you knew you needed for grills and smokers? When you give your friends directions to your house, do you tell them to follow the smell of oak and pecan rather than give them a house address? Then, Meat Fight is the place for you.

Meat Fight is a BBQ competition that happens yearly in Dallas, Texas, and started in a backyard right here in Lake Highlands.

This year’s event will feature 20 fancy DFW chefs from restaurants including Lucia, Petra and the Beast, José and more. These chefs will compete against each other for titles including best brisket, best sausage and more. This year, we’ve even got Sweet Fight competitors in the mix. And you’ll have a chance to sample it all. We’ll also have additional local restaurants featuring a casserole competition, plus beer from Community Beer Co. and more. There will be a meat-themed midway with games, we’ll have judges from BBQ joints all over Texas, and you’ll walk home with plenty of meaty stories to tell.

The best part: This funlanthropy event benefits people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Tickets to this event will go on sale via Prekindle on October 3rd at 10am.
